Statistics show that in Shanghai port, the inter-water container transhipment ratio has reached more than 50%, the inter-vessel synchronized LNG bunkering service has achieved normal operation, and about 97.95% of the vessels in operation have been renovated with power reception facilities on land.

Meanwhile, digitization is reshaping the production mode, business model, organizational form and order of operation of the Shanghai International Shipping Center, and expanding the radiation scope of the center.

On September 3 this year, an empty container transfer center was put into operation at the port of Shanghai, enabling empty containers to be transported to the Yangtze River Delta region and ports along the Yangtze River via the water, highway and railway, further enhancing the resource allocation capacity of Shanghai Port as a hub of international shipping.

Yu Fulin, director of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, said that to enhance the resilience of the supply chain and industrial chain, Shanghai has worked with the Yangtze River Delta to speed up the construction of a global shipping hub, improve the smooth and resilient shipping collection and distribution system, as well as comprehensively promote shipping service and brand influence.

In the first three quarters of this year, Shanghai Port's container traffic reached 34.89 million TEUs, achieving positive year-on-year growth and showing strong growth resilience.
