Barcelona has welcomed executives, academics and experts in smart cities and transformation to the Smart City Expo World Congress. The Spanish technology company Devlon has been present at a congress stand together with ICEX

The technology company Devlon has attended the Smart City Expo World Congress, at a stand together with ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones. This event, which has been held in Barcelona since 2011, has brought together companies seeking innovation in cities through smart technology for three days.

From November 15 to 17, executives, academics from the technology sector and experts in cities of the future have presented information on energy, environment, infrastructure, security, mobility, governance, life and inclusion. The attendance of people from multisectoral fields has represented a total of 700 cities and 146 countries. This massive convention aims to open new ways of collaboration in the private and public spheres.

Among the more than 1,000 companies and organizations that have attended the congress, was Devlon. The Spanish technology company has been able to give visibility to its IoT devices and the different projects carried out to improve the operation and infrastructures of cities.

The differential of the Spanish Smart City company is the monitoring and interpretation of data. In its deployment of IoT devices are CO2 meters inside and outside buildings, smart lighting systems, mobility control and noise pollution meters, among many others. Each of Devlon's IoT solutions has a management system where data can be viewed in real time.

The interpretation of the reports produced by the devices is clear and simple, with information collected instantly. This rapid information allows early decision-making in the face of environmental problems and in relation to safety. Apart from the decision-making of entities and professionals in charge, the simple representation in graphs can be interpreted by any citizen.

The data collected by the devices can be easily uploaded to the transparency portals so that the inhabitants of the municipalities have at their disposal relevant information about pollution levels, energy consumption and the environment.
