HAVANA, March 4, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- After a week of unforgettable activities, the XXIII Habanos Festival ended last night with the Gala Dinner that took place at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds. Around 1,200 attendees enjoyed this magical night, accompanied by national and international music, dance, and even indoor fireworks that lit up the presentation of the new Habanos, S.A. release. The Gala also had the honor of having the presence of the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, who attended along with other government authorities.

The evening paid tribute to the Partagás brand with the launch of the Línea Maestra, the most Premium of the brand, made up of three new vitolas: Origen (ring gauge 46 x 154 mm long), Rito (ring gauge 52 x 168 mm long) and Maestro (ring gauge 56 x 132 mm long)). Each of these vitolas will hit the market in a special case of 20 units.

This is a launch in which, for the first time in the history of the brand and the portfolio of Habanos, S.A. the vitolas of this new Partagás Line will be made with 100% tobacco grown in San Luis*, in the Vuelta Abajo* plantations* located in the Pinar del Río region*, which gives them a special aromatic complexity without losing their unique character Of the brand.

The Partagás vitolario is characterized by having a great variety of formats, with more than thirty in its portfolio, which does not stop growing and innovating. In particular, this Master Line pays homage to the unique "Origin" of what is considered the best tobacco in the world, the learning and tradition that make enjoying a Habano a "Rite", and to the "Masters" who make the creation of a work possible." The evening, presented by Ray Cruz and Clarita García, featured two orchestras conducted by Maestro Manolito Simonet, as well as an audiovisual, dance and circus show. Among the artists who entertained the evening were Zule Guerra, Lily Dayli, Vocal Leo, Bárbara Llanes, Leo Vera, Tammy López, Cristian Alejandro and Rodrigo Sosa among others. In addition, the dance companies of Lizt Alfonso, Fumescu and Habana Compass Dance surprised the guests with their performances. The closing concert was offered by the pioneering musical group of disco-dance music in Europe, Boney M. with a practically new line-up but which, under the legacy of Bobby Farrell, continues to offer a unique show.

One of the most important moments of the gala was the auction of the exclusive humidors dedicated to the six global Habanos brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás, Hoyo de Monterrey and H. Upmann, whose collection reached a total of 11,220 €,000 which, as is customary, will go entirely to Cuban Public Health.

In particular, the Cohiba Humidor once again broke its own record and reached a value of €4,200,000. This exclusive piece is made of wood, metals and semi-precious stones and reaffirms through its majesty the cosmopolitan and elegant position of the brand. With a capacity for 500 Habanos, all carefully selected within the prestigious lines of the Cohiba brand. On this occasion, the humidor was auctioned together with a fine watchmaking piece unique in the world, from the Audemars Piguet brand, donated by an anonymous individual for the auction.

In addition, during the night the winning couple of the Habanos World Challenge contest was announced, made up of Mr. Antonios Pasparakis and Mr. Efthymios Karacristianoidis, and the 2022 Habanos Awards were presented, which reward those personalities who with their work and passion make the Habano a unique product in the world.
