- Italy brings together the best pastry and ice cream masters at SIGEP 2023: from Massari to Bohr and Morrone, together with the major international competitions
RIMINI, Italy, Jan. 3, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The biggest stars of the dolce foodservice firmament will participate in SIGEP-The Dolce World Expo (44th edition), the international trade fair for artisan ice cream, pastry, bakery and coffee of the Italian Exhibition Group , which will take place in Rimini, Italy, from January 21 to 25, in conjunction with AB Tech Expo (7th edition), which focuses on technologies and machinery for bakery, pastry and confectionery. Sigep is, therefore, an unavoidable event in which to discover new products and improve your knowledge.
The participating pastry chefs, who have brought the excellence of their art around the world and have become authentic living legends of the sector, will be: the masters Igino Massari, Salvatore De Riso, Alessandro Dalmasso, Roberto Rinaldini, Eugenio Morrone, as well as Marcus Bohr, Executive Pastry Chef Harrods in London, and Giancarlo Timballo, President of Cogel Fipe and organizer of the Gelato World Cup.
And for lovers of international challenges, the 44th edition will host the Gelato Europe Cup, in which Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Hungary will compete for the final of the 10th Gelato World Cup to be held at SIGEP 2024 ; Competitors from Korea, Japan, India, Italy and Peru will compete for the title of Women's Pastry Queen, while the World Junior Pastry Championship will involve young people under 25 years of age.
At the Bakery Arena, the fifth edition of Bread in The City, an international bakery championship in cooperation with the Richemont Club, will feature teams from China, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal and Spain. Coffee artists and expert baristas will battle it out in the Coffee Arena to stand out in the seven competitions of SCA Italia (the Italian branch of the Specialty Coffee Association) valid for the World Coffee Championships.
