"Considering the post-pandemic situation, the uncertainty regarding international events and a slow start to the year, we are delighted with these figures and the growth in our market share," says Rémi Aubin, Director of Charter Sales at LunaGroup. "At the beginning of the year we were able to help our clients by creating air bridges where the usual companies stopped going due to the pandemic. From the second quarter, activity picked up with MICE, international sports tournaments, cruises, etc. The World Cup of FIFA in Qatar also kept us very busy until the end of the year," he adds.

chaotic summer activity

In the second part of the year there was a rapid rebound in the group's trips, after two years of the worst crisis that aviation has experienced. This unprecedented increase in traffic disrupted the supply chain, from ground handling to air traffic controllers, causing tremendous customer frustration and a real challenge for our teams. "The industry could not offer flights at full capacity due to labor shortages. The airlines' rental demand was impossible to meet and they were overwhelmed throughout the summer," Rémi points out.

The company had a tremendous fourth quarter with the organization of corporate events in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the United States. "I am very proud of our team, who always go above and beyond in every project to help and offer the best possible experience to our clients around the world. Whether it was in Doha, Singapore, Houston, Dammam, Cardiff, Paris, etc. The members of our team were on the ground and in the air to guarantee our passengers the best possible travel experience," concludes Rémi.

What can we expect for 2023?

LunaGroup Charter is accelerating the expansion of its French entity with new offices in London, Geneva and Dubai. "We continue to focus our growth from Paris under the leadership of Rémi Aubin. Our strategy is to emulate what makes LunaJets' success possible, our business in private jet charter. It is clear that we see huge opportunities in these lines of business," comments Alain Leboursier, General Manager of the group. At the end of the first quarter, the company will move its Parisian domicile to larger offices in the "Triangle d'Or".
