-95th Anniversary of the China Academy of Art: Series of academic events starting on the day of its launch

HANGZHOU, China, April 12, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- 95 years have passed. The China Academy of Art (CAA) has developed into a national institution of higher education in fine arts with the most comprehensive disciplines and the most comprehensive scale. 95 years later, the CAA continues to promote its development as a world-class academy by tracing the pioneering journey of Chinese art, building a central site for art education. It has grown to become a university with five campuses and more than 10,000 students and faculty: four campuses in Hangzhou, China, and one in Shanghai.

CAA Launch "1 School, 2 Platforms and 2 New Things"

Starting this year, CAA has designated April 8 as CAA Launch Day. The launch of CAA will become a public platform for art creators, a creative festival for society, and an "art engine" driving social innovation.

The Academy has prepared three articles for its first Release. The first point is to establish the School of Calligraphy. The second is to establish two academic platforms, namely the China Institute of Film Arts and the School of Social Aesthetic Education. The third is to launch CAA Cosmos and Meta Art Academy.

With the inauguration of the Chinese Classical Art Gate by Xianghu Lake, the Xianghu campus of the CAA is inaugurated

CAA Xianghu Campus aims to lead the innovative development of Chinese painting and calligraphy, bring together distinguished humanities and art scholars, and develop student training paradigms. He strives in graduate and doctoral programs. Based on its first-class Chinese painting and calligraphy programs, the Xianghu campus is composed of "four organizations, three museums and four centers" to carry forward China's excellent traditional culture and inherit Chinese classical art.

The research project "Great Teachers of the Century" is launched

Since the year 2000, CAA has celebrated each "fifth" anniversary in the second half of that year. Each anniversary theme goes beyond CAA history and revolves around frontier academic issues. In 2023, the central academic event is "Inter-World-View: World Civilizations Forum", an international art campaign comprising "teaching, creating, action and communication".

In the second half of 2023, Liangzhu Campus, CAA will be fully open. As the theme of design will be introduced here. Advances in the technological revolution, technological iteration and social improvement are expected.
