Energy consumption, the purchase of a washer or dryer and associated costs such as repairs and detergents are determining factors for outsourcing laundry outside homes, according to a Bloomest survey.
Bloomest, the self-service laundries under the leadership and quality of Miele, has seen an increase in laundromat activity during the last quarter of the year and more than 82% of managers affirm an increase in their turnover and attribute it to the rise in electricity and gas in Spanish homes (41%), followed by the professional finishing of washing (29%). These are some of the conclusions of the survey "use of self-service laundries in 2022" that Bloomest has carried out on 36 laundromat owners to discuss the progress and evolution of the business over the past year.
