Casar de Cáceres, April 17. - The Regulatory Council of the Torta del Casar Protected Designation of Origin attends the thirty-sixth edition of Salón Gourmets, International Quality Food and Beverage Fair, which is held in Madrid from April 17 to 20 at IFEMA (Madrid). The D.O.P Torta del Casar will be present at the stand of the Junta de Extremadura in hall four.
The objective is to promote this Extremaduran cheese with a quality seal in one of the main international showcases for high-end products. To do this, attendees will be given a taste of Torta del Casar, while at the same time they are provided with information about its peculiarities.
As a novelty of this edition, there will be a joint space for products covered by the Denominations of Origin of Extremadura. In it there will be presentations, commented tastings and culinary preparations with these products of differentiated quality.
The director of the D.O.P. Torta del Casar, Javier Muñoz, highlights that "this new way of being present at Salón Gourmets is an advance compared to previous years, since it will allow the presentation of Torta del Casar, its production method, characteristics and way of tasting in a way that It will make it easier to reach the professional better.” "The main mission of the Regulatory Council is to publicize the Denomination of Origin in all its breadth, so that later the cheese factories close the commercial agreements and this new space is a good tool for this", concludes Muñoz.
This year, in addition, the Torta del Casar D.O.P Gran Tajo Selección de Iberques Extremadura is a finalist in the category 'Soft paste with vegetable coagulant' in the championship of the best cheeses in Spain, Gourmet Cheeses, which is held this Monday, April 17 . In the last edition, the D.O.P won three prizes.
Gourmets Hall, International Quality Food and Beverage Fair
Salón Gourmets is the number one quality Food and Beverage Fair in Europe and one of the most prestigious references in the world. For the thirty-sixth edition of this year, it will have the largest exhibition area in its history and it is expected that more than 100,000 visitors will attend, that there will be more than 2,000 exhibitors and 55,000 products will be offered.
