DOHA, Qatar, Nov. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Yutong Bus ("the Company"), a world leading manufacturer of electric buses, has revealed the details of its comprehensive transportation solution for the upcoming football event to be held in Qatar, together with the event's official transportation provider, Mowasalat.
1,500 Yutong buses will serve the Middle Eastern country on the occasion of the global football extravaganza that kicks off later this month. Of the buses, 888 battery electric buses will provide public transport and shuttle services during the event for officials, journalists and fans from various countries going from one venue to another.

The bus order was Yutong's largest overseas order to date and marked a turning point for the bus company on the global stage. To ensure seamless and sustainable transport connections with local partners, Yutong has assembled a large team of 126 people to ensure that everything goes smoothly during the event.

Yutong Qatar's service team for the event will implement a one-stop service for all its buses and routes, including spare parts, full vehicle inspections, daily spot checks, troubleshooting, as well as rapid emergency response, and other aspects of service planning. They have carried out a trial operation of the e-buses with the customer, based on a clear understanding of the operating scenarios.
Yutong Qatar has already ensured that all parts and items required for vehicle maintenance are in stock, as well as those required for preventive maintenance checks. Training has been provided to more than 2,000 drivers, along with special sessions for rapid maintenance of battery electric buses.
