Madrid airport is the headquarters of the economic brand of Deutsche Hospitality

Frankfurt am Main, December 1, 2022 (News Aktuell)

Scandinavian design meets southern European metropolis: On December 1, 2022, the new Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport will open in Madrid, opening up the Spanish market for the brand. Together with the Steigenberger Hotel

The hotel is included in the portfolio of the "European Hotel Fund" of the German financial company Commerz Real. In 2020, the subsidiary of the second largest bank in Germany, Commerzbank, had bought it as an office building that housed the former headquarters of the Spanish airport company AENA, converting and repositioning it.

“We are in an exciting phase of expansion. Today a new chapter begins, in which we introduce our Scandinavian product and our digital solutions for the first time in the Spanish market. In collaboration with Deutsche Hospitality, we have assembled a team of qualified local employees who are passionate about the concept and are looking forward to the opening,” says Denis Hüttig, Senior Vice President of Operations at Deutsche Hospitality.

“As a location, Spain is the perfect extension for our portfolio. With the new Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport, we contribute to Madrid's progressive architecture and modern flavor, expand our presence and thus offer our clients an even greater network”, adds Dominique Simon, director of the Zleep Airport hotel.

With more than 281 spacious rooms, the Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport is the largest Zleep Hotel of the Danish hotel chain to date. A fitness room, a breakfast restaurant and a combined bar and lounge area are part of the modern facilities. The rooms, in Scandinavian design, are composed of a comfortable bed, a desk, storage space for clothes and a state-of-the-art bathroom with shower. One of the six room categories is the Zleep Living apartment concept: Extra-large apartments with private kitchen, dining table, bed and sofa are a suitable way to feel at home in Madrid, especially for longer stays. In addition to being in a quiet location, the windows in all rooms are soundproofed so you can relax or work in peace.

Both the highway and public transport are at a convenient distance from the hotel, allowing easy access to museums, theaters and special gastronomic enclaves in the charming center of Madrid. The beautiful parks of Juan Carlos I and El Capricho also allow for relaxing walks near the hotel. The hotel's surroundings are enriched by various shopping centers, including Plenilunio, and the large Wanda Metropolitano football stadium, home of Atlético de Madrid.

Zleep Hotels is the young and affordable brand of Deutsche Hospitality. The brand's current portfolio includes 16 hotels in Denmark and Sweden. More Zleep Hotels are currently under construction in Prague, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Zurich. The opening of additional hotels is in the planning phase. The brand is characterized by a combination of quality, functionality, service, Scandinavian design and attractive prices. Concepts like Zleep Living adapt to the modernity and flexibility of today's travel needs.
