“Riverdale” Season 1, episode 4 will see Archie (K.J Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Alice (Madchen Amick) facing big problems.

In “The Last Picture Show,” Betty and Archie’s friendship will once again be put at risk when the former discovers shocking information about Miss Grundy (Sarah Habel). Betty becomes aware that Archie knows the truth about Miss Grundy, but decided to keep it hidden from her. Previously, Archie and Betty also had a falling out when the latter confessed her feelings for him, and Archie was unable to reciprocate it.

While Betty and Archie are struggling to keep their friendship intact, they will further be divided when Veronica reaches out to the both of them for help. Veronica will also be confronting her mom, Hermione (Marisol Nichols), about a suspicious meeting she witnessed between her and a shady looking man. By the looks of it, Hermione will not tell Veronica the truth about the meeting, since she’s known for being a very secretive person.

Elsewhere, Betty’s mom, Alice (Madchen Amick), will be going through her daughter’s diary. Alice will find out something shocking about Archie, so she will use it against the redhead to destroy him. Alice has already asked Betty to stay away from Archie because her instincts are telling her that he’s no good for her youngest daughter. However, Betty still wants to hang out with her best friend.

Alice is also concerned over the fact that Archie has some resemblance to Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines). The latter was in a relationship with Alice’s daughter, and things didn’t turn out well for them. Betty’s sister ended up at a facility after their breakup.

“Riverdale” Season 1, episode 4 will air on The CW on Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
