Coronavirus: more than 200 new cases a day in South Korea, for the first time since march

health authorities in south korea reported Sunday 279 new cases of coronavirus, marking the first time since march that new infections day-to-day exceeds the bar of 200, reported the news agency Yonhap.

The country has witnessed a sharp rise in infections over the past three days, according to data of the Korean control and disease prevention (KCDC). The total number of infections now stands at 15.318. Among the new cases, 267 were local transmissions, according to the KCDC.
