The political crisis which has been simmering in the democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) turned on Thursday in violent protests, with at least three people dead - two protesters and a policeman - at the market prohibited and repressed against the choice of the new chairman of the electoral Commission.

The two demonstrators were killed in the two main cities, Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, according to the office of the human rights of the united Nations in the Congo, which is concerned about "the use of lethal force by the forces of order."
