The president of the european Council Charles Michel will travel Saturday to Beirut, a few days after the explosions, the wars which shook the lebanese capital from a warehouse in the port, he announced Friday on Twitter.

He shall transmit " the european solidarity with the inhabitants of the Lebanon ". Europe is " shocked and saddened ", and stands ready to provide necessary assistance, " said the Belgian.
