The investigators are seeking on Thursday to determine the cause of the derailment of a train in the north-east of Scotland, an accident which caused the death of three persons and for which the government wants to " learn the lessons ".

The train of 06h38 (05h38 GMT) party of Aberdeen in the direction of Glasgow was derailed Wednesday near Stonehaven, about 25 miles south of Aberdeen, in an area affected by heavy rains which have caused flooding and landslides.
