Bubble social, hotels, restaurants, shopping...: what changes for Wednesday

A set of new restrictions come as early as today/Wednesday in order to stem the upsurge in the coronavirus in our country. They concern in particular the reduction in the number of persons permitted within the bubble of social rules to follow in the shops and those imposed in the sector of event management. Additional measures should also enter in force in the province of Antwerp, which concentrates a large portion of new cases.

The bubble social is reduced from today. Now, each household can only mix with only 5 people considered to be close contacts to the maximum, instead of 15 per individual previously, and this for at least four weeks. Children under 12 years of age are not counted in these 5 people. Outside of these few close ones, social distancing is essential. The gatherings are friendly, tours are not accompanied, banquets, weddings and celebrations, private are limited to a group of 10 people maximum (again, without counting the children), with which it is necessary to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters, or even wear a mask. An exception exists for the sports activities, supervised youth camps, internships, etc, for which the previous rules remain valid.
