Philippe Close (PS), mayor of the City of Brussels has announced that the Atomium, one of the symbols of the capital, will turn off at midnight in tribute to the victims of the double explosion that took place Tuesday in the vicinity of the port of the lebanese capital.

"In solidarity with Beirut and Lebanon, this Wednesday night at midnight, we éteindrons the Atomium, to pay tribute to all the victims," wrote the bailiff in French and in Dutch on his Twitter account.
