Rudi Vervoort has signed this Wednesday morning, the royal decree imposing the obligation of wearing a mask in all public places in the brussels Region. The order suffers three exceptions : during the practice of a sport, of the completion of a physical labor intensive on the public highway, and for people with a disability, which does not allow them to wear a mask or a face shield.

The Region is quite clear : except in very specific conditions of an activity strictly within the sport (with high speed), the mask is mandatory to bike. And it is not a question for the municipalities to interpret the rule to their sauce : "I know that some mayors have difficulties to apply the suppression on it," stresses Rudi Vervoort (PS). "But I tell them : if it continues, measures will come from above" In practice, some mayors are more flexible in their intentions, but if the artery is bandwidth, it may still have to wear the mask.
