Stores looted after the demonstration against racism: 150 people arrested

The police has already made 150 arrests after the incidents that broke out in Matonge, on Sunday late afternoon, at the end of the demonstration against police violence and racism, said the mayor of the City, Philippe Close. On this occasion, some 10,000 people had gathered on the Place Poelaert, at the foot of the palace of Justice of Brussels.

" After the rally, troublemakers and criminals have deliberately caused the forces of order and degraded urban furniture. They are then taken to stores to rob like vulgar thieves. I immediately asked the security forces to disperse the troublemakers, and to proceed to their arrest, " explained the mayor.
