Visit family and do errands outside of the belgian borders is now possible: several rules to follow

The visits beyond the country's borders are again possible from this Saturday, announced Friday the minister of the Interior, Pieter De Crem. These visits were no longer possible since 20 march, when the borders have been closed to travel non-essential.

The rule of the four people still apply

In the framework of the exit strategy, it is allowed, since 10 may, to visit a maximum of four persons on the national territory. The minister asked the Group of Experts in charge of the Exit Strategy (GEES) with a notice on an application of the measure to visits across the border. In addition, he has had several conversations with his colleagues in five neighbouring countries (the netherlands, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Great Britain) on this folder. He also discussed with his 26 european counterparts. The minister emphasized the need to strictly abide by the measure in order to limit the potential impact on public health.
