Aniah Briown made two free throws with three seconds left in the second overtime Friday night and host Beechcroft rallied to beat Linden 71-69 in a City League North Division game.
As Linden was attempting to play for a final shot, Brown stole the ball and was fouled. Brown scored 20 points to pace the Cougars (6-5, 4-3), who came back from a 36-23 halftime deficit. Grace Gales added 19 and Kandice Farley-Marbury 15. Sharae Brown paced Linden (6-6, 3-4) with 21 points.
Eastmoor Academy 50, South 47: Allayah Hughes made the front end of a one-and-one, Mchale Grant put back the rebound on the second free throw with 14 seconds remaining and Eastmoor Academy (8-4, 5-2) defeated host South (7-6, 4-4) in the City South. Grant and Zian Jackson led Eastmoor with 17 points. Talia Shaw led South with 19 points.
Upper Arlington 46, Marysville 37: Macy Spielman had 21 points, eight rebounds and made 8 of 13 free throws to help Upper Arlington pull away from host Marysville in an Ohio Capital Conference Central Division game.
Pickerington Central 62, Grove City 36: Maliya Perry led a balanced offense with 13 points and Pickerington Central (11-3, 5-0) won an OCC Ohio game at Grove City (8-5, 1-4). Four players scored at least eight points for the Tigers, who pulled away with a 19-9 second quarter. Gina Conti had 13 points for Grove City.
Whitehall 32, Columbus Academy 30: NiNi Jenkinson had a career-high 17 points and scored all four of Whitehall’s points in overtime as the Rams edged visiting Columbus Academy in a Mid-State League Ohio Division game.
Worthington Christian 61, London 54: Bridgette Rettstatt had 24 points and Worthington Christian (10-4, 5-2) handed visiting London (12-2, 6-1) its first MSL Ohio loss.
Amanda-Clearcreek 32, Circleville 31: Haley Herick’s three-pointer with five minutes remaining was Amanda-Clearcreek’s only basket in the fourth quarter, and the Aces (14-0, 8-0) downed visiting Circleville (6-6, 3-4) in the MSL Buckeye.
Liberty Union 55, Bloom-Carroll 43: Gabby Burris scored 28 points as visiting Liberty Union (12-2, 7-1) won an MLS Buckeye game over Bloom-Carroll (7-7, 3-5).
