A moose was struck and killed by a vehicle in a Nederland intersection this afternoon, Boulder County sheriff's officials said.

Division Chief Heidi Prentup said the crash occurred at the intersection of Colo. 119 and Eldora Road, but she did not have any further information and said Nederland police were handing the crash.

It's not known whether the driver suffered any injuries. 

More information will be released once it becomes available.
