Two Toronto men are facing a total of 20 charges after police say a 16-year-old girl was forced to work in the sex trade at a Kingston Rd.-area motel.

The men allegedly met the girl through a mutual friend of hers, posted nude photos of her online and forced her into sex work, Toronto police said in a news release Tuesday.

The victim was “hardly given any food or nourishment,” police said, and was ordered to turn over all of her earnings. When she tried to refuse, police said she was threatened with knives and a pellet gun.

The girl eventually escaped from a hotel room in which she had been locked without clothes or shoes.

Officers with the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team arrested two suspects on July 2.

Austin Williamson, 19, and Joshua Presley, 19, faces 17 charges relating to human trafficking, benefiting from the sexual services of another, confinement, and publishing child pornography.

Williamson has also been charged with one count each of assault, sexual assault, and assault with a weapon.

Both men appeared in court July 3.

Police said they’re concerned there may be additional victims.
