[updated 14 August 2020 at 13h53] The famous weekend of August 15 and its endless traffic jams on the roads and highways of France has already begun : a chassé-croisé in the colours orange and red, according to the forecasts of Bison Futé. In fact, the national forecasts, traffic updates, 12 August, report a difficult traffic over a large part of Hexagon (orange), or critical in the south-east (red). In the sense returns, it will be necessary to expect heavy traffic on the mediterranean coast between Italy and Spain, "either in East-West direction or in the direction West-East on the motorways A8, A7, A54, A9, on the coast of the Italian border to the Spanish border," says the ministry of the Ecological Transition.

During the weekend of the Assumption, the caps will accumulate on all road traffic, including the Saturday, August 15 : "In the sense of departures, the traffic problems are expected primarily in the region of Auvergne, the Rhone-Alps and on the mediterranean arc," says Bison Futé. The authorities recall the importance of regular breaks in this period of heavy traffic and to stay to listen to the traffic information, in particular via the radio station 107.7 FM, for the freeway, and the FM stations of France Bleu, in relation to the national roads.
