Five months before the parliamentary election, Afghanistan once again had an attack on a voter registration centre. At least twelve people were killed.

In a bombing of a mosque in Afghan town of Choset, many people were killed: according to authorities, at least twelve people died, 33 more were injured. DerSprengsatz had gone up in a tent for voter registration, which had been pitched on grounds of a mosque, said by police chief Abdul Hanan Sadran.

The citizens of city should register in mosque for upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections in electoral registry. For 20th of October, first elections have been planned in Afghanistan since presidential elections in year 2014. The city of chosen is located in province of same name in eastern Afghanistan.

Zunächstniemand was known to attack. Both Taliban and a local offshoot DerTerrormiliz "Islamic State" reject democratic elections.

In Afghanistan, in past, re have been fora attacks on voter registration centres. In a Shiite quarter in Kabul, dozens of people were killed and injured by a self-suicide in April. The so-called "Islamic State" had become known for this deed.
