The trial against a suspected Swiss spy is to be terminated after will of defense by EineAbsprache with indictment. The process AmOberlandesgericht Frankfurt v. Daniel M. was interrupted on Wednesday shortly after start of negotiations for a legal conversation between defense and indictment, after 54-year-old accused of announcing a statement.

His defender Robert Cain wants to achieve a probation sentence for man. In accordance with § 99 of criminal record, five years of imprisonment are threatened as a maximum penalty for intelligence agents. But it is considered unlikely that former Swiss police officer has to expect maximum penalty.

The federal prosecutor's office accuses him of having spied on behalf of Swiss intelligence service of federal government for almost Fouryears Lang North Rhine-Westphalian financial administration undeinige its employees. The proceedings before Frankfurt Higher Regional Court are initially scheduled for eleven days of negotiations until mid-December.

M. had worked for UBS in security Department for about ten years, and later became a private investigator. Even before his arrest at end of April, he was targeted by investigators and judiciary for espionage charges.
