Oxfam employees are said to have sex in Haiti and Chad. The British government is threatening to remove funds from the aid organization.

Reports on sex in Haiti and Chad are bringing British aid organization Oxfam increasingly to needs. In both cases, non-governmental organisation (NGO) is accused of covering up events. The British Minister for International Cooperation, Penny Mordaunt, told BBC that government could cancel its donations if Oxfam and or aid agencies did not properly implement safeguards against such incidents. Mordaunt announced a meeting with officials of Organization for Monday. In last fiscal year, NGO, based in Oxford, was reported by British Government to almost 32 million pounds (about 36 million euros).

Oxfam shared, y take accusations very seriously and examine accusations thoroughly. The British weekly Bulletin The Observer had reported that in Chad in year 2006, alleged prostitutes were repeatedly invited to House of Oxfam team. A senior employee was n dismissed because of his behaviour.

"They invited women to parties. We knew that se were not just friends, " sheet quotes an ex-employee. "They (Oxfam) do great work, but that's a pave problem." Oxfam did not want to confirm or deny accusations to Chad on Sunday.

Already on Friday, Times had reported that Oxfam employees had sex with prostitutes during ir mission after severe earthquake in Haiti in year 2010. According to article, which called for an internal Oxfam investigation report from year 2011, parties were to have taken place in a villa rented by Oxfam.

However, according to Oxfam, prostitutes were not paid out of Oxfam funds. Because of special situation after earthquake in Haiti, "The local police have also not been turned on." The fact that minor prostitutes were hired was "not proven". Oxfam dismissed four of accused employees according to scandal. Two or Oxfam employees came to ir release by denunciation.

The British minister Mordaunt said in BBC that she expects a comprehensive cooperation between Oxfam and authorities. The organization has failed in terms of "moral leadership". Oxfam leader Mark Gold said he was "deeply ashamed" of behavior of Oxfam team in Haiti. The incidents are unacceptable and a serious breach of Oxfam code of Conduct. But scandal was not hushed up.

The Acting charitable Commission, as a control body for NGOs, announced that Oxfam had received a report in August 2011. This was refore talk of "inappropriate sexual behaviour, intimidation and harassment". On or hand, "misuse" of Oxfam beneficiaries or "possible sexual misconduct against minors" was not mentioned.
