NEWARK — A city 18-year-old wanted in connection with the murder of a fellow teen has been arrested, following a days-long search, authorities announced Sunday.

Quadree Richardson – who authorities charged with murder and weapons offenses in connection with the Sept. 4 shooting death of Daquill M. Grant, also 18 – was arrested late Saturday night, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced in a release.

The East Orange Police Department arrested Richardson at a home in that city, Murray said. He did not resist the arrest, authorities said.

After announcing the charges late last week, Newark police alleged Richardson took part in another, non-fatal shooting Friday night. While he remained at large, authorities said he was considered "armed and dangerous."

Richardson's bail has been set at $750,000, officials said. He is being held at the Essex County jail, pending a court appearance.

Grant's death was one of four fatal shootings in Newark over the long Labor Day weekend.
