Cycling: Florian Sénéchal wins the GP Vermarc, the first professional race post-coronavirus in Belgium

The French 26-year-old escaped a few kilometers before the arrival. He resisted the return of his pursuers and beat a few seconds the Dutch Oscar Riesebeek (Alpecin-Fenix) and the record holder of the hour Victor Campenaerts (NTT), 2nd and 3rd respectively under the banner of arrival.

The GP Vermarc was included in the cycling calendar as an individual race elite - a race of fair and in other words - but it has attracted all the same with Lotto Soudal and Deceuninck-Quick Step: two teams from the WorldTour at the start. Eddy Merckx, in person, had gone to give the signal of departure.
