Dewayne Dedmon gradually has become an inside force for the Spurs in his first season with the team.
But with the injury of Pau Gasol, Dedmon has stepped up with the most consistent play of his career during the last several games.
Dedmon went for a season-high 17 points and grabbed a career-best 17 rebounds in San Antonio's 103-92 victory at Detroit on Friday night.
It was the seventh career double-double in the 195 games of his career that Dedmon has played in the league. Three of them have come in the last eight days.
