A blizzard is predicted to storm through the Detroit area later this weekend, snarling traffic and making life miserable.

The Spurs gave them a little early taste of havoc as they stormed through the Pistons for a 103-92 victory Friday night in their final visit to the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Kawhi Leonard erupted for 32 points, his 17th 30-point game of the season and ninth in his last 13 games.  LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points and 11 rebounds and Dewayne Dedmon chipped in with a season-best 17 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the Spurs to their second victory in the first three games of the Rodeo Road Trip.

San Antonio (41-12) never trailed, jumping ahead 6-0 in the opening moments of the game as they cruised to their fifth straight victory over the Pistons.

They ran off nine straight points to finish the half, punctuated by Leonard's 12-foot pull-up jumper, to claim a 60-41 lead at intermission. San Antonio took control  by shooting for 68.4 percent in the second quarter.

Detroit closed to 10 in the late stages of the game, but the Pistons struggled matching the Spurs inside all night. San Antonio had a 52-35 edge in rebounds, a 38-30 advantage in points in the paint and a 20-7 edge in second chance points.

Tobias Harris led a balanced Detroit scoring attack with 16 points and Ish Smith added 15.

The loss snapped a modest four-game home winning streak for the Pistons (25-29), who had seven scorers in double figures.
