LeSean McCoy or DeSean Jackson? Here is who Eagles fans want back

With the Eagles rumored to be interested in bringing back receiver DeSean Jackson, and running back LeSean McCoy listed as a possible cap casualty by the Buffalo Bills, there has been plenty of talk recently as to whether or not both could return to the team.

Here are the results of a recent Twitter poll, asking Eagles fans who they would want to see come back to Philadelphia more -- McCoy or Jackson.

The results were overwhelming.

Why the fans would prefer McCoy isn't hard to see.

McCoy is coming off of a season in which he finished with 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Bills, one of the best seasons from an NFL running back in 2016.

McCoy is also one of the best players in franchise history, as he is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 6,792 yards during his six years with the team.

The Eagles have a need at running back, as they are expected to cut starting running back Ryan Mathews, and rookie Wendell Smallwood was not overly impressive in his limited action last season.

As for Jackson, the Eagles' need at receiver has peaked fan interest in bringing back the speedy wideout, who is expected to be a free agent this offseason.

At 30-years old, however, investing a large deal in Jackson would be a risk, as his game is built on speed, and with 127 games under his legs, that speed could be going soon.

McCoy played for the Eagles from 2009 to 2014. He was traded by then-head coach Chip Kelly to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

Jackson played for the Eagles from 2008 to 2013, before being released by Kelly for off-the-field issues.
