Before the scouting combine, free agency and the draft get underway, the NFL offseason begins with teams cutting veteran players, often for salary cap reasons.

Monday marked the first day NFL teams could start trimming their rosters in order to get under the salary cap before the start of the 2016 league year on March 9. Since the 2016 season concluded with the New England Patriots' 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons, a handful of players have already been released by their former teams, including three former Pro Bowlers.

With over $27 million in cap space according to OverTheCap.com, the Seahawks don't appear to need to make any big moves before the new league year begin, unless they want to save an additional $10 million by cutting tight end Jimmy Graham.
