Trail Blazers teammates, fans say goodbye to 'good guy' Mason Plumlee

The Portland Trail Blazers traded Mason Plumlee to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday in a move that stunned his teammates and generated a tsunami of thanks and goodwill for the center who has become a beloved fan favorite at the Moda Center during his time in Rip City.

The trade, which became official Monday, sends Plumlee and a second-round pick to the Denver Nuggets for center Jusuf Nurkic and a 2017 first-round pick.

Plumlee, who started all 136 regular-season games over the last two years with the Blazers, wrote a thoughtful thank-you note to everyone in Portland.

"Over the last two seasons, I've been fortunate to be part of a world-class organization with incredible teammates and coaches and some of the most passionate and supportive basketball fans in the NBA," Plumlee wrote on his verified Facebook page.

Players and fans alike chimed in after the news broke and thanked Plumlee for his tenure with the Blazers:
