David Locke is the radio play-by-play voice of the Utah Jazz. He believes that the Western Conference will be so tight that he's not convinced Portland will make the playoffs.
Listen to the full interview here.
"I think the eighth team in the West could be 45 or 46 wins," Locke said. "...let's say Portland is a 47 or 48 win team... well, then, I'm telling you that you're three or four games from things going wrong."
On those picking Utah ahead of Portland:
"A lot of people are putting Utah ahead of Portland and I find that laughable... Portland has played games they have to win before."
On the moves of Utah GM Dennis Lindsey:
"His off-season moves were close to perfect."
On how Portland is viewed by the rest of the league:
"I think they have a special component right? They have Damian... he's just that special... he's a great isolation player, he's a great pick and roll player... I don't love the Evan Turner move... I'm not sure I love that deal."
