A driver was killed when his sedan collided with an 18-wheeler Monday afternoon off a South Side highway.

San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Daniel Contreras said the black sedan was heading east on the Loop 410 South access road and ran a stop sign at Southton and hit the rear axle of the big rig, which was crossing the intersection

"We don't know why he just blew past the stop sign," Contreras said.
