A quick-thinking North Texas police officer maneuvered a burning truck away from a Jack in the Box before the flames made things worse Saturday, authorities said.

An officer with the Glenn Heights Police Department, located just south of Dallas, responded to a call around 9:15 p.m. Feb. 11 at a local Jack in the Box restaurant. Upon arrival, the officer discovered a Ford truck "engulfed in flames," according to a police video of the incident.

"An officer was able to successfully move the vehicle away from the structure utilizing his patrol vehicle and no injuries were reported," police said in the video.

Footage from the incident shows the officer pull up behind the truck, which was covered in flames and smoke, in his patrol vehicle.

The officer then pushed the truck out of the drive-thru line and away from the restaurant.
