Israeli forces and Palestinian demonstrators have again delivered battles on fringes of Gaza and West Bank. At least four Palestinians were killed. At least 140 more were violated, as Ministry of Health in Gaza shared. The news agency DPA, with an additional appeal to Palestinian rescue Service, calls a total of about 400 injured.

Palestinian groups had declared this Friday a "Day of Wrath." In Gaza Strip, thousands of Palestinians followed call and went to streets. They demonstrated against announcement of US President Donald Trump to acknowledge Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Especially after Muslim Friday prayers re was a riot. According to Israeli army, about 3,500 Palestinians threw fire bottles and stones at soldiers on edge of Gaza. These would have been targeted at leaders. Two Palestinians, one of m amputated on both legs, were killed during a demonstration east of Gaza City. A third death toll occurred in village of Anata between Jerusalem and West Bank.

In West Bank itself, re have been confrontations with 2,500 Palestinians, Israeli military announced. In vicinity of Ramallah, according to Israeli police, a Palestinian was shot down after attacking an officer with a knife. He should have worn an explosive belt.

Israeli forces mainly used tear gas and rubber bullets against demonstrators. A spokesman for Ministry of Health in Gaza said several people had complained about respiratory problems, palpitations and coughs.

There were also clashes in Israel, for example in Old Town of Jerusalem. In Israeli-Arab city of Sakhnin, according to a report, 10,000 people protested. This was written by Jerusalem Post, citing common list of Arab MPs in Israeli parliament.

After Trump's Jerusalem decision of 6 December, leader of radical Islamic Hamas had called for a new intifada. Since n, re have been repeated massive riots in Israel, Gaza Strip and West Bank. In addition, Palestinians fired daily missiles from Gaza Strip on Israeli territory, whereupon Israel reacted several times with air attacks.

The status of Jerusalem is one of biggest points of contention in Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Since six-Day War of 1967, Israel has claimed all Jerusalem as an indivisible capital. This has not been recognised internationally. The Palestinians consider East Jerusalem to be capital of ir future independent state.
