The security costs for the G20 summit in Hamburg totaled 85 million euros. The confederation takes on much of it – but not everything.

G20: The confederation pays 69 million euros for security at the G20 summit

The security costs of G20 summit in Hamburg in summer were summed up to 85 million euros – much more than originally estimated. DerBund and city state want to share costs, as a Senate spokesman confirmed on Saturday. The confederation will transfer 69 million euros to Hamburg, Hamburg will have to raise 16 million euro itself. The Bundestag's Committee on Budgets must still agree to this agreement.
