The reactions of North Korea's neighbours to summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong, which is scheduled to take place on June 12, are different. While Japan's defense minister demanded to maintain pressure on country, South Korea's government was optimistic about behavior.

"It seems as if road that leads to a summit between North Korea and USA has continued," The Office of South Korea's president, Moon Jae, shared. The government in Seoul awaits meeting trumps with Kim "tense but calm", a speaker shared.

South Korean Defense Minister Song Young Moo warned against Kim Jong Un at an international security forum in Singapore. "If we believe that North Korea wants to trick us in future, what it has done in past, how can we negotiate with m and make peace?" he said, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.

Japan, on or hand, warned US not to rely too much on possible North Korean commitments. The Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onora reminded of Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore that North Korea had already committed to nuclear disarmament in past. After this, however, nuclear and missile programme was pushed forward in secret and neighbouring countries were threatened with a series of ballistic missile launches last year.

North Korea must not be rewarded solely for fact that it has agreed to dialogue, said Onora. To create peace, a "complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantling" of all North Korean weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles of all ranges is needed. The only way to complete denuclearisation is to maintain maximum pressure on North Korea.

Previously, a North Korean delegation had visited White House to prepare for planned summit meeting in Singapore. She was led by Kim Jong Chol, who is considered Kim Jong-right hand. Kim Jong Chol handed a letter to Trump on his visit to Kim Jong Un. Trump said after talking to negotiator, he believes that Kim Jong-un is committed to denuclearization. However, summit was only beginning of a longer process.
