After considerable conflicts in party headquarters of Left Party, federal manager of party, Matthias Höhn, resigns. As it was out of party circles, Höhn wants to resign his office on Friday. His post will be held as a business leader until election on a party congress planned for next spring.

"I have taken note of fact that Matthias Höhn is resigning," said leftist Bundestag group chief Dietmar Bartsch on evening ARD broadcast report from Berlin. A month ago, re had been first reports that party manager was ahead of retreat.
