For time being, re is no agreement between North Korea and United States in efforts to achieve a possible nuclear disarmament. A two-day meeting between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean party official Kim Jong Chol has ended with differences.
The North Korean foreign Ministry called US position "extremely unfortunate". The US had "greedy demands" and offered no concessions, reported South Korean news agency Yonhap.
Pompeo looks forward to progressPompeo called negotiations "very productive" on or hand. There has been progress on almost all central issues, although "re are still work to be done on a number of points", Pompeo said after meeting.
The US foreign minister had negotiated a total of eight hours in Pyongyang about a possible denuclearization of North Korea. North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-un, had promised this in June at a summit meeting with US President Donald Trump. However, agreement had remained vague: a timetable or control measures had not been designated. Kim Jong Chol, who consulted with Pompeo, is one of closest employees of head of state Kim.
