The governments of North and South Korea have taken measures to furr relax diplomatic relationship between ir states. While North Korea wants to adapt its time to South Korean, South Korea announced that it would dismantle its propaganda loudspeakers at norrn border.
The steps follow a summit meeting last Friday between North Korea's head of government Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae in. There, both politicians agreed to end state of war that has been going on for almost seven decades and to gradually liberate divided peninsula from nuclear weapons. Kim had also said at meeting that he felt it was painful to see two clocks with denunterschiedlichen times for Capitals Seoul and Pjöngjangan of wall.
The Parliament in Pyongyang now decided to push North Korea's time from next Saturday 30 minutes ahead. For first time since 2015, country was again in same time zone as South Korea. In year North Korea had introduced its own time zone. The occasion was 70 anniversary of liberation of Korea from disbursement made occupation at end of Second World War. South Korea is in same time zone as Japan.
South Korea also signalled desire to improve relations with norrn neighbour. For example, South Korean Defense Ministry shared its propaganda speakers on Tuesday before camera was running. That is simplest step in consolidating confidence, it was said. However, we expect North Korea to do same on its side, said a spokeswoman. Even before summit of last Friday, speakers had been issued, with which two countries had mutually sounded propaganda.
The international community welcomed recent developments on Korean peninsula, including Donald Trump. The US president plans to meet Kim Jong-un in next few weeks. Via Twitter, Trump suggested that meeting be held in demilitarized zone between North and South Korea.
Numerous countries are being considered for meeting, but would peace house/Freedom House, on border of North South Korea, be a more representative, important and last site than a third party country? Just asking!
