The US president has accused Pakistan of not doing enough in the fight against terror. Now, US media speculate about the occasion for Trump's threatening tweet.

USA: Trump threatens Pakistan with payment stop

US President Donald Trump threatened Pakistan with a reduction in payments. Unfortunately, in past 15 years, US would have supported Pakistanmit more than 33 billion dollars, he wrote in his first tweet of new year. In return, one did not get anything but lies and deceit from Pakistan. In particular, Trump accused country of lacking aid in fight against terror – Pakistan is a haven for terrorists. "That's over!" he wrote.

It was initially unclear what was trigger for Trump's critique. According to a report by New York Times, US government is considering withholding aid of 255 million dollars to country because it is not tough enough against extremists. According to this, Pakistan should USAZugang to a prisoner with Taliban Verbindungenverweigern, who could possibly provide information about Eineramerikanischen hostage in region. Pakistan, however, says that re are many Militäroperationengestartet to expel militant groups.

Already in December, Trump had threatened to set payment. Since taking office almost a year ago, already difficult relations between governments in Washington and Islamabad have deteriorated furr. His predecessor, Barack Obama, also criticized Pakistan's stance against radical Islamic Taliban, which US has been fighting in Afghanistan since end of 2001. The situation is particularly sensitive because Pakistan is a nuclear power and its partners fear that its arsenal can fall into wrong hands.

The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 trillion dollars in aid over last 15 years, and y have given us nothing but lies deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!
