BARCELONA, Nov. 30 (EUROPA PRESS) -
Glovo has inaugurated this Tuesday in Barcelona its new international headquarters with more than 30,000 square meters, and located on the Badajoz axis of the Mile22@ complex, "which stands out as one of the most dynamic business impulse points in the city".
The new central office has been named 'Yellow Park' and "develops the technology and strategy for the 25 countries in which the application is present," the company reported in a statement.
In a first phase, this headquarters will host more than 1,700 professionals of 80 nationalities, of which more than 1,000 are engineers and tech professionals, which means that the company maintains "the company's main Tech Hub" in the city.
The building has energy saving systems, renewable energy generation through solar panels, a high-efficiency air filtering system, and water consumption savings of 57%, in addition to having the LEED Platinum Core certification.
Glovo's Vice President of Human Resources, Cristina de la Rosa, has assured that they will continue to invest in Barcelona, "generating impact and collaborating to promote growth, digitization and innovation in the digital ecosystem".
The company Tétris has been in charge of the design, and its general director in Spain, Miguel Fernández, has said that they have opted for a flexible design "without neglecting the innovative essence and local winks, in which each floor is set in some of the cities where the company operates".
During the first quarter of 2023, Glovo "will open 'Yellow Park' to the city and make part of its facilities available to associations and groups in the Catalan capital."
