Medical examiner identifies Vancouver homicide victim

Leisa A. Holt, 60, was killed in a Vancouver homicide Friday, Feb. 17, the Clark County medical examiner said on Tuesday.

Holt died from several injuries to the head, the medical examiner said.

Kenneth Jay Moore, 45, was arrested Friday night on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection to Holt's death, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Moore was arrested at a home in the 3700 block of East 18th Street after officers arrived for a welfare check and saw Moore with a gun, police said in a news release Friday. SWAT officers were dispatched to the house as authorities closed nearby roads and told neighbors to stay inside.

Moore was arrested about two hours after police initially showed up at the home.

Police continue to investigate, Kapp said. No additional details were available Tuesday, she said.
