6 hospitalized after South Loop crash

Six people were hospitalized after a two-car crash in the South Loop early Sunday, authorities said.

At about 3:50 a.m., one car crashed into another car, which then crashed into a storefront in the 600 block of West Roosevelt Road, according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

Six people were taken to area hospitals. Two went in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Two others went to Rush University Medical Center in fair-to-serious condition, and two more went to Mercy Hospital in good-to-fair condition.

Nobody outside the cars was hurt, and the building sustained only minor damage.
