Nick Nurse's men took advantage of the lack of confidence of the 76ers, who have only one win in five games, to go 35 points in the first quarter. They were leading 63-53 at halftime and were able to maintain this gap throughout the game.

Author of an excellent start to the season, Pascal Siakam continued his success with 19 points in the first two quarters. He added just one point in the next 24 minutes, but distributed the ball widely to finish with 13 assists.

The local favorites shot hard from downtown, making 16 three-pointers in all. Gary Trent Jr. led the Raptors with five shots and was also the team's leading scorer with 27 points.

The other Toronto starters, OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes and Fred VanVleet, all broke the 15-point plateau. On the 76ers side, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey were excellent in the loss with 31 points apiece.

Quebecer Chris Boucher took part in a second game since his return from injury. After being used for only 12 minutes by Nurse against the Miami Heat on Monday, the 6'9" giant spent 17:15 on the floor. He had 13 points and four rebounds.

The Raptors (3-2) will face Philadelphia again on Friday, again in Toronto.
