Bridgeport dollar store held up

Police are looking for a man who held up Milanobet a dollar store in Bridgeport Wednesday morning.

It happened about 10:15 a.m. in the 3400 block of South Halsted Street, according to police.

A man wearing all black, including a mask, a hoodie, and pants, entered the dollar store, implied and had a gun and demanded money from the register, police said.

He grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the north to 34th Street and then east. 

The robber, described as a black man between the ages of 20 and 30, 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds, has not been arrested, police said.

No one was injured.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
