Bruc already has 1,858 MW of photovoltaic solar energy in operation and construction

MADRID, 18 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Bruc, the renewable energy firm founded by Juan Béjar, has connected 154.6 megawatts (MW) to the transmission network, bringing it to 1,066 MW in commercial operation. To these already operational plants we must add 792 MW whose construction contracts have been recently signed, with which the company now has 1,858 MW of photovoltaic solar energy in operation and construction.

The three plants that make up the Cartago II complex, with an installed power of 154.6 MW, located in the municipalities of Utrera and Alcalá de Guadaira (province of Seville), have been connected to the transportation network. These plants will generate 307,075 MWh and will avoid the emission of 81,990 tons of CO2 per year.

Almost at the same time, the Bruc team has signed construction contracts for various plants in Aragon and Andalusia totaling 792 MW.

These are Cartago B (municipalities of Alcalá de Guadaira, Utrera and Los Molares, in Seville), Gazules (municipality of Alcalá de los Gazules, in Cádiz), Trévago (municipalities of Trévago, Castilruiz and Fuentestrún, in the province of Soria) and Aguasvivas (Moneva, in Zaragoza).

Bruc's total portfolio amounts to 8,500 MW, of which 8,400 are in the Iberian Peninsula and 100 in Japan.

Recently, the firm signed a financing agreement with seven entities for an amount of 600 million euros. This amount guarantees a substantial part of the contributions necessary for the investment in the construction and start-up of a portfolio of solar photovoltaic and wind generation plants in Spain.
